h.a.n.d. talks about history, Square Enix projects
h.a.n.d. Inc. has been tirelessly working with Square Enix for games such as Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales, Chocobo’s Mysterious Dungeon: Labyrinth of Forgotten Time, and the upcoming Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days.
In an interview, the company talks about where they started and about their relationship with the Square Enix. Details on the interview after the jump!
In an interview with Cubed3, h.a.n.d. Inc. sat down for a brief interview about how they started out as a company and how their relationship with Square Enix is when working on projects.
h.a.n.d. Inc. started making games were multimedia titles. Some of them were made into displays of museums and edu-tainment games, a combination of education and entertainment.
Koji Yamamoto, director of the company, said that their strongest genre would be under the mini-games category. This background has helped them in developing different types of games. Much of this is reflected in the Chocobo games that they’ve developed.
As for their working relationship with Square Enix, they’ve been able to produce titles such as Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales for the DS and the Chocobo’s Mysterious Dungeon: Labyrinth of Forgotten Time for the Wii. Currently, they’re working on another DS game, Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days.
For the two Chocobo games, Yamamoto said that he worked closely the Square Enix’s produced, Yokosama-san. With this, they were able to make a game that had friendly design with ease of playability which anyone could easily pick up and enjoy. For the Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, Teruaki Matoba, president of h.a.n.d. inc., said they couldn’t talk about it since much of its content is still confidential.
