Hajime No Ippo: screenshots and Wiimote usage details
By way of the Hajime No Ippo (aka Victorious Boxer) website, the guys over at IGN managed to pick up some interesting new details to shed some light on AQ Interactive‘s boxing game for the Wii. According to the site, the game will carry two modes of play. One is the traditional mode where players hold the Wiimote and Nunchuk in either hand – very much like in Wii Sports – while gripping the shoulder buttons activates the character’s dodge/parry.
Now, for the less physically able (i.e lazy) gamers, the developers are introducing what we call the Wiimote mode. In this control setup, all the player has to do is point the Wiimote cursor at some points onscreen to hit their target…and suddenly, the game begins to sound like Elite Beat Boxer…
Hajime No Ippo is set for a June 30 release in Japan, at an estimated retail price of Â¥6,090 (US$ 51). Up ahead are more game screenshots – enjoy them until we get news of a possible U.S. release. Enjoy!
