Halo 3 Collector’s Edition multi-disc fears put to rest

Halo 3 - Image 1There have been a few whines and moans lately about the Halo 3 Collector’s Edition disc set from the couch potato demographic. It’s been discussed in many forums that the set will come with two game discs and one bonus disc.

Speculations rose of the first disc being the single player campaign and the second being the multiplayer arena. Not good news if you hate getting physical with your games.

The thought of getting up to switch discs just to jump through different game modes was just too horrible to think for a lot of us. Even worse was the thought of doing it for the purpose of switching gear in mid-play. Fortunately, the worries were put to rest when Louis Wu of Halo.Bungie.Org gave an explanation.

Wu says that Bungie was amused with the rumor but says it’s all a huge misinterpretation. “They’re labeled the way they are because they have to go through test – but they are NOT both game discs.” There you go, folks. Show’s over, back to your homes.

Thanks to Joystiq for the heads up!
