Halo 3 modders already doing their stuff
Well, Bungie’s beta is barely even out for public consumption yet and already, it seems, the modders are coming out in full force. At least, that’s the reckoning of Kezins from 1P Start.
In a strongly-worded post, Kezins grew increasingly concerned about how modders are already using the beta to steal code off of Halo 3 for their own purposes. The concern grew out of what occurred in Halo 2, with cheaters and modification experts taking away some of the fun of the game from other people.
Honestly, we’re not sure how to react to that. While we ourselves haven’t seen evidence of people ripping code off of Halo 3, it’s bound to happen eventually, much as we’d like to think otherwise.
How about you? What do you think of modding in games, especially in games with high profiles such as Halo 3? Does it get on your nerves, or is it simply a mild annoyance? Let us know.
