Halo 3: Spartan Helmet sighted at Canadian Toys “R” Us
Among the goodies that’s going to be shipped in Halo 3‘s much-anticipated Legendary Edition package, one that’s been turning heads lately is the to-be-included Spartan Helmet (a non-working replica, of course).
Courtesy of a tip from opzero, we’ve picked up word that a demo copy of the limited-edition helmet was sent out to the local Toys “R” Us chain he works at – over in Canada. We don’t have any pics to show what’s at the retailer, but the image we’ve posted is just for reference. We’re speculating that this helm’s being passed around to give the employees a good idea of how it will look come launch day. An understandable precaution, given the energy Bungie put into making this collectible.
opzero further notes that Microsoft is expecting to get the helmet back after a period of time, which means that guys who were hoping to buy one for themselves will just have to wait until the full game package launches. And the tipster’s comments on how Master Chief‘s personal headgear looks? “It’s damn sexy in real life,” he said.
Keep an eye out in case we pick up more details and hopefully a picture to back it up.
