Halo: Ghosts of Onyx released to conquer mass market

Tor Books has just released Halo: Ghosts of Onyx a couple of days ago. We’re sure that this is old news for some people, as the book was released last year. But this release is for the mass market paperback.

This is the third Halo novel that Eric Nylund authored, Fall of Reach and First Strike. Halo: Ghosts of Onyx is of course set in the Halo Universe and takes us on another adventure during the Human Covenant War. For those who are a bit confused, Halo: Ghosts of Onyx was first released as a trade paperback which means it is almost identical to a hardbound (or hardcover) except for the binding and it has higher quality paper than mass market paperbacks.

Anyway, the Halo: Ghosts of Onyx mass paperback edition retails at around US$ 8 as opposed to the trade paperback’s US$ 10.  There are two more books coming up for Bungie’s Halo – not to mention Halo 3 – so stay tuned.
