Halo the Graphic Novel Updates
Master Chief‘s Spartan legacy lives on, and it’s not only on video games, but on books as well. Set to invade cinemas once the Halo movie comes out, the genetically and cybernetically molded Super Soldiers branch out their adventures to another medium – Graphic Novels.
Marvel and Bungie has teamed up, giving birth to HALO – THE GRAPHIC NOVEL HC, based on one of the all-time best-selling video game. The novel will feature four different stories each delving deep into the Halo lore. Here’s a teaser for the four parts:
Last Voyage of the Infinite Succor
A Covenant agricultural support ship suspected to be under attack as communications going in and out of it is mysteriously terminated. An Elite Commander and his squad of Special Forces are sent to find out what caused this. Little do they know that the danger they’ll find there will put their combat-bred personas to the ultimate test.

Breaking Quarantine
The mystery of Sergeant JohnsonÂ’s escape from the clutches of the Flood menace finally undergoes a revelation. And it’s covered in full detail to shed a light on how the UNSCÂ’s toughest marine got out of an inescapable trap.

Wars are supposed to be a measure of a man’s physical toughness, in the case of Super Soldiers, the challenge is multiplied exponentially. What goes unnoticed by almost everyone, is the real peril that’s taking place in the hearts and minds of the men who’s torn in this strife.

The said novel will only come out on July 13, 2006, but Gamestop is already accepting pre-orders. Be prepared to shell out $25 though. It’ll be interesting to find out what the approach the comic’s artists and writers will take to fully morph the Halo fever to a plain and not so interactive medium.
