HamsterBert releases 3 emulators for the PSP

Well, I’ve taken the liberty of posting all three of HamsterBert’s creations for the NeoFlash Spring Coding Competition.

PSP-Gnuboy

PSP-gnuboy is a Gameboy Color emulator for the PSP and was ported from Gnuboy (a PC Gameboy Color emualtor). There is a lot missing from this emulator port and makes the current RIN the obvious choice for your GB emulation needs. I don’t see any reason to use this other than RIN, but if RIN ever stops being as good, or if this program becomes better, well, then maybe we can shed some more light on it! The program highlights for this program include:

Features:

• Support for Gameboy mono and Gameboy Color roms
• zip support
• Battery backup ram support – save your position in
• games that support it e.g. Zelda, pokemon, etc
• Correct ratio’d graphics, hardware accelerated renderer
• 60fps on most games
• built in game select screen

• Sound
• More complete GUI
• Save states
• Cheat codes
• mappable controls
• Link up support

PSPadrive

PSPadrive is a genesis emulator port for the PSP. This port comes from the PC version of Genesisplus and is very similar to HamsterBert’s other ported emulators for the NeoFlash Spring Competition. The not so great feature list includes:

• Correct ratio’d graphics, hardware accelerated renderer
• Some asm code to speed things up
• built in game select screen

• Lots more asm optimisations
• Save states

PSP-FCEUltra

This is the last of the emulator ports released by HamsterBert and is an emulator of the NES console. Once again, it isn’t as optimized as current NES emulators (NesterJ), but it can be if the author wishes to continue with the project This is a port of the FCEUltra emulator for the PC. The features/missing features include:
