Hands on Sam Fisher: Wiimote-Nunchuck hands-on vid
While everyone is asking how the Wii remote will help Sam Fisher maintain his stealthy craft, the Wii version for Splinter Cell: Double Agent is still worth a second glance. The video below gives us a hands-on with the controls and gameplay, with the player going through the training levels.
Notice that white triangle hovering around the screen. While the Nunchuck is used to maneuver Fisher around the levels, this white triangle indicates where your Wiimote is pointing. This also helps you aim your firearms better. From what we can see, aiming in this FPS mode is made easier – you simply need to guide the Wiimote triangle to the center of the cross-hairs.
You may watch the rest of the video to see how to climb, select from your inventory, and other general stealth tips. We know how some of you have already gotten used to the controls of the previous Splinter Cell games, and since the Wiimote brings in a new dimension of the game, it won’t be uncommon to feel a bit awkward with the controls at first. Given time, we’re sure that playing as Sam Fisher on the Wii would prove if you’re built to be a special ops agent.
