Harmonix warns against buying early Rock Band kits
The next time you stumble upon an early release of the Rock Band kit on your favorite auction site, like say eBay, and are tempted to make your bid, don’t. Sean, Harmonix‘s community dude over at the Rock Band forums, is sending out a warning that those bundles up for grabs are not an official release, but are demo versions that have been “accidentally” sold.
Sean further elaborated that Rock Band‘s demo sets are missing several important features from the full game. You can tell that the set is bogus if the drum set is missing its kick pedals – the game will be locked to play the bass drum automatically. Some of the demos don’t even come with mikes.
If you do happen to run into one of these said kits, make sure to warn the rest of your buddies, lest they get scammed out of their hard-earned cash. And remember – Rock Band for the PS2, PS3, and Xbox 360 will be officially released this November 20.
