Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Wii screens from Famitsu
This summer will be one of the better summers in recent years, in terms of movie releases. One of the highlights will be Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix which tells the story of J.K. Rowlings’ fifth installment of the extremely popular series. There’s a video game spin-off coming from EA which ships roughly two weeks before the movie starts playing and it’s headed towards every major platform there is.
These screens are from the Nintendo Wii version of Harry Potter and Order of the Phoenix and Famitsu recently showed them off in their site. While the Wii version may not quite be the graphical stud that the other platforms will have, it definitely has a very attractive feature. The developers say that the Wiimote and Nunchuck will serve as the magic wand for players, with distinct motions for every spell in Harry Potter’s arsenal.
What’s more, the world is the most authentic of the series as players will experience a fully explorable environment that allows maximum interaction between players, characters and even the backdrops. Get those wizard hats on, kiddies, this summer will have some serious enchantments for you when it hits.
