Red Alert 3 Beta requirements - Image 1Okay, so maybe it’s just mere speculation that these specifications could – we stress could – reflect the actual system requirements needed to run the final build of Command & Conquer Red Alert 3, but Electronic Arts says we shouldn’t take it as such. The developer just raised the curtains on the requirements of Red Alert 3‘s multiplayer Beta, which you  could view at the full story.

If the specifications from IGN are accurate, then Electronic ArtsCommand & Conquer Red Alert 3 will require a capable, current-generation gaming PC for the multiplayer open Beta, which has just been recently announced.

So aside from grabbing a copy of Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath, beta testing aspirants will have to see if their machines conform to the following:

  • Microsoft Windows XP/Vista (32-bit only)
  • 2.0 GHz processor (single core Intel Pentium 4, AMD Athlon 2000+; or multicore processors) – XP
  • 2.2 GHz processor (single core Intel Pentium 4, AMD Athlon 2000+; or multicore processors) – Vista
  • 1 GB RAM
  • 6 GB for retail DVD; 12 GB for download
  • 8-speed DVD-ROM
  • NVIDIA GeForce 6800 or ATI Radeon X1800 as bare minimum
  • DX9-compatible audio card (Audigy will boost CPU requirements to at least 2.6 GHz in Vista)

Word has been given that these specifications don’t reflect the final build requirements for Command & Conquer Red Alert 3, but fans may use it as a guide to see if their PCs are ready for Red October.

We’re still waiting to get picked for the open Beta, so to kill some time, we’ll be bringing in more updates. Stay tuned.
