Heavenly Sword demo goes GOLD, released July 26… in Europe only?
This is probably the first greatest news bit since E3 ended. And while the event did build up a lot of hype for Heavenly Sword, it seems like Ninja Theory is letting the “Kai” out of the bag early with some post-E3 announcements. Via the official Ninja Theory forums, we finally get confirmation that the Heavenly Sword demo has gone GOLD!
In light of the Heavenly Sword hands-on demo during the E3, Ninja Mikey, one of the devs, posts in their forum:
People at home really want to get hands-on too. Well, let me just tell you all that the dev team has finished work on the demo.. that’s it… it’s in the bag… so now it’s a case of Sony deciding when they feel is the best time to release it to PlayStation Network.
Right. So, it’s only a matter of time now. But we can’t wait that long, now can we? And so, we decided to go out and search for some bit of info of when it’s actually slated to come out. Other sites seem to have clocked the demo to come out most definitely this month. But to be more specific, we got a date from GamersCreed (thanks for the tip, Dookie!), who claims that it’ll be released on July 26.
The only common thing though among our sources is that the July 26 release date is for the PlayStation EU Store. None of them mention a North America release. GamersCreed seems optimistic and guesses that “the NA region might be getting the demo before the EU region.”
Whatever the case, we’re taking the release schedules as rumor. But the real hard fact here, the “news” bit here, is that the demo is already finished. That as much is a heaven-sent prize for us.
Again, thanks to Dookie for the heads up!
