If you’ve been busy readying yourself for the ultimate fight between good and evil come Hellgate: London‘s Halloween release date, then you’d better suit up – as the beta phase for EA’s demon-slaying, devil-killing MMORPG will be opening soon, and will remain open until a few weeks before November 1 of this year. Awesome!
For the unitiated, Hellgate: London is an action-RPG that’s set in the near future, with dark Diablo-esque tones and an impressive cast of monsters, demons, spirits to slay. And it’s not going to be a mere cakewalk, even for those already adept in the arts of online adventuring, as the game features not only 40 to 50 hours of story-driven gameplay, but also randomly-generated dungeons and a ton of content.
What’s good about Hellgate: London, you ask? Well, not only are you going to be fighting evil in what appears to be a bleak futuristic rendition of London, but the fact that online and offline play are absolutely free. Of course, you can chip in for the optional subscription fee, which nets you an exclusive pass to more of the game’s range of items and weaponry, as well as additional quests and classes.
