Flagship Studios Community Manager Ivan Sulic recently announced that they had released a new single player update for their apocalyptic MMORPG Hellgate: London as of approximately 8:00 a.m. PST, November 8.
The purpose of the single player update, according to Sulic, was to fix certain problems that Hellgate: London players had been experiencing for a while now. The manager noted that Flagship Studios’ update had fixed the black screen problems that some have been seeing in multiplayer mode because of the 1.40 single player patch.
It also addressed the annoying tendency of downloads to remain incomplete for the single player and launcher patches. Sulic also reminded players that Flagship Studios had been throttling delivery to insure that the update’s release proceeded smoothly.
Thus, the official said, players who had received the single player update yesterday probably didn’t experience the patch’s effects until this morning.
