Hellgate: London’s Patch 0.5 coming later today

Heads up, Hellgate: London fans! Patch 0.5 is coming later today, so all you folks hoping to make the most out of the Guy Fawkes event better do what you can now, because the arrival of Patch 0.5 also spells the end of the Guy Fawkes event.

In addition to the end of the Guy Fawkes event, they’ve also done some sprucing up, in terms of game upgrades and bug finding.

First off, they’ve made the chat interface less intrusive and more user-friendly. Also, they’re encouraging players to try out different builds by enabling 24 character slots for all players. More importantly, the game is now more stable, and they’re working on improving the play experience through constant refinement.

On the bug-finding side, the recent news post on Hellgate:London Underground notes that they’ve found the bug that creates invisible party members during player. However, they found the bug too late to add the fix to the patch, so you can expect the fix to come in the next patch for the game.
