Bambi’s friend used to say, “You can call me Flower if you want to.” At first, Bambi thought it was a rather innocuous thing to say, but if Flower lived on Blizzard‘s home turf, Bambi would be running for the hills.

Herbalists will be pleased to know that there are now even more interesting flowery things you can do in World of Warcraft. Unlike those pre-expansion herbs anyone could pick up in Felwood, these new set of herbs are herbalist-specific. Whoever said flower picking was for sissies probably never saw a mage with a +50 buff to his magic power now, did he? Here’s the list for you:

Herbal Essences:

  1. Felweed: can give the Fel Blossom buff, which absorbs 750 to 1250 damage with a 15 second duration. Perfect for surprise PvP against Warlocks and Shadow Priests.
  2. Flame Cap: Flame mages will be glad to find these. Increases fire spell damage by 80 and adds the chance to strike a ranged or melee target with 40 additional fire damage on weapon hit. Lasts one minute.
  3. Dreaming Glory: Increases HP Regen by 30hp/5 seconds for fifteen minutes.
  4. Mana Thistle: Restores a random amount of mana when picked. A crapshoot buff for caster types, less important for hunters who like eating mana.

Herbal Horrors:

  1. Nightmare Vine: gives flower pickers 800 shadow damage over 8 seconds. Do not pick when almost dead.
  2. Netherbloom: gives a 15 minute buff or debuff that either adds or subtracts 50 to ANY stat. Imagine warriors with -50 to their overall attack power or +50 to it, and you can see how interesting Netherbloom can get.
