Here come the Po Po: Burnout Paradise police chases hinted

Burnout ParadiseThe Burnout Paradise trailer for the Ultimate Box has more sirens blaring around than you thought. If you’ve got quick eyes and watch the trailer again (included in full article), it pretty much confirms the return of more police cars to the game, and eventually, chases too. Now… the question is… when?

The Burnout Paradise trailer for the Ultimate Box has more sirens blaring around than you thought. As D+Pad points out, it looks like the trailer pretty much confirms the return of police cars (previously seen on the PS2‘s Burnout 2: Point of Impact) to the game.

Here’s the video trailer once more, keep your eyes peeled somewhere before the 20-second mark and the 1:00-mark.

And no, I don’t think it’s the Ecto-1 Ghostbusters-inspired car from the Legendary Pack. If your eyes are quick enough, the word POLICE is easily readable on the back-side of the car, with a PCPD acronym on the side (Paradise City Police Department?) – flash forward to the 1:00-mark and you see the same PCPD icon getting its own slot in the Burnout Store. Which means… chases!

It’s unsure when the new content will be arriving and in what form. Will it be an exclusive freebie to those who are buying the Ultimate Box? Will it be another upcoming DLC pack that’s yet to be revealed? Keep those fingers crossed – let’s hope we hear from Criterion Games soon!

The Burnout Paradise Ultimate Box edition for the PS3 and Xbox 360 will hit retail on Feb 6.
