Deniska looks to be keeping busy even after finishing work on MapThis! and the latest build of OpenTyrian for the PSP. The developer has just announced that work has been finished on a PSP port of Hex-A-Hop, a game that was originally developed by Tom Beaumont for the PC.

Here’s the game description, in case you’re a newcomer:

The objective is simply to destroy all the green hexagonal tiles on each of the 100 levels. As you progress through the game, more types of tiles are introduced which make things more difficult and interesting (hopefully).

This version of Hex-A-Hop also carries added sound and music support. As Deniska elaborated on this feature:

  • The game is bundled with ~40 free soundtracks in tracker formats (s3m,mod,xm), collected from different sources.
  • All credits belong to their original authors.
  • You can change the soundtracks by overwriting files in sounds directory by your own “tracker” or “ogg” music.

Keep in mind that this game is built to run PSP Slims and units running on CFW 3.xx only. Control and installation details, and other important information can be found in the file bundle’s readme.
