In an interview with Kikizo, Quantic Dream‘s founder, David Cage, recounted an instance when he met the awesome, larger than life Hideo Kojima. “Very interesting” was how he described the said meeting with the creator of one of the most successful icons in videogaming history, Solid Snake.
He did not go into the details of what the meeting was about, but he did reveal that he was “pleased” to learn that Kojima has heard of their company and of their much-anticipated title, Heavy Rain.
“I certainly respect his work, definitely, although it’s not the type of game I want to make myself,” referring to how Metal Gear Solid moves forward through cut scenes, while Heavy Rain progresses through gameplay. “But yeah he’s a huge star, I guess.”
Huge star. You got that right, don’t worry.
