Fans of Hideo Kojima’s work, most notably the Metal Gear Solid series, hang on his every word, and for good reason. He’s always had a lot to say about the industry as a whole, his opinion of development studios worldwide, the state of gaming and more.

Mr. Kojima has been running a blog on Konami’s Japanese site for some time, dubbed the HIDEOBLOG, though non-Japanese speaking folk have had a rather hard time keeping up with his posts. However, he’s begun translating his blog posts into English so that many of his other fans can get insight into his personal life, progress on his ongoing game development and more.

He’s translated five of his recent blog posts, dated during the last week of September. His latest translated blog entry, dated September 30, 2005, finds him discussing such topics as the firearms training that the entire MGS4 team went through recently, the autumn weather and his new Filofax personal organizer, among many other things. It’s a very interesting read to say the least.
