Hokuto Musou gets an angrier name for Euro release

Hokuto Musou is getting a western release, but not under that name of course. Tecmo Koei today announced that it’ll be released as Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage.

 

 

 

 

Hokuto Musou is getting a western release, but not under that name of course. Tecmo Koei today announced that it’ll be released as Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage.

 

The game follows the travels of Hukutou Musou successor Kenshiro as he meets the denizens of a post-apocalyptic wasteland, a lot of whom end up with their heads and bodies mangled and exploding in satisfyingly bloody fashion.

 

“Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage not only pays homage to the brutal beat ‘em ups we all grew up loving, but it also tells the story of Ken’s quest in a world of chaos”, said Will Curley, Tecmo Koei’s VP of Sales and Marketing.

 

“Joined by a cast of familiar Hokuto characters, and featuring destructive post-apocalyptic wastelands, Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage is the true successor to a much loved gaming genre. This is the reinvention of the beat ‘em up”

 

PS3 and Xbox 360 owners in Europe can find it on store shelves this fall. A North American release date has yet to be announced.
