Home Beta gets updated

It seems the Home Beta has received a pretty sizeable update. According to PlayStation Universe, the update includes a few graphical enhancements, new customization options and new items.

The new Home Beta update also reportedly give player avatars the ability to run around the virtual community after walking for a bit. The Home Cinema has also been beefed up with new trailers including ones from Around the World and the film Reign Over Me. Videos in public spaces also play more smoothly the closer one stands to them.

The biggest addition in the update is the first look at in-game XMB access. PlayStation Universe says that the update now lets those in the Home Beta access their friends list from anywhere inside Home by pressing the Select button at any time.
