Home for the Holidays: Open beta will be ready by this Christmas says PSHome CM
Yes, yes, I know there’s been so much speculation on PlayStation Home‘s open beta release in the past couple months that you’re tempted to dismiss bold proclamations like that in the title. Fortunately this time, it seems very credible. Check out the full article to see what I mean.

Said Ted (TheDog), Community Manager for PlayStation Home in a recent forum post (I marked the pertinent portion in bold):
As you probably noticed the invites did actually get out over night although it did take longer overall than I thought it would. This weekend should be very interesting in Home. Our system is still resending any emails that were undeliverable for any reason and will continue to do so over the weekend.
As I said yesterday, SCEE has millions of registered PSN accounts and we were simply not sending millions of emails so there was always going to be a huge number of you not getting the lucky email. Additionally the invites were spread right across Europe but also included Australia and New Zealand.
I know I’ve said it a lot before but Open Beta is not far away now, so please dont fret, you’ll all be Home by Christmas. Everyone else, welcome aboard!
He sounds pretty confident and he’s not using any safety words like “is expected to” or “will likely be.” He’ll be ending up with a lot of egg on his face if Home open beta gets shoved over to next year, which is why I said it sounds like the real deal. Here’s hoping you’re right, Ted.
