Homebrew: a 3D room demo for your PSP

The PSP 3D room demo - Image 1It’s got four walls, a floor, and it looks like a cross between something from Silent Hill and Quake. It’s a 3D room demo for your PSP, and while it’s certainly impressive enough by itself, the future applications of the room demo are definitely exciting.

What has four walls and a floor? Why, a room of course! What do you call four walls, a demonic floor, and a bloodstained crate? A creepy room, that’s what, and it’s a room you can download on your PSP.

Over on our PSP Development forums, waywardson has released a 3D room demo for people to try out on their PSPs. He says that it can be used in the future to develop a 3D maze for people to go through.

You can check out the screenshots above for a glimpse at the room demo, and you can also view the keymap for the demo below. Note that you have to know how to install this on your PSP beforehand, as the file itself doesn’t have a readme for people to follow.

key map:

  • x = look down
  • triangle = look up
  • left = look left
  • right = look right
  • up = walk forward
  • down = walk backward
