Homebrew in the news: PSPRadio

PSPRadio

Only the greatest of homebrew games for the PSP attract the attention of the media, and this month it was the turn of Raf‘s brilliant PSPRadio online radio streaming application, as it appeared in the sixth issue of PSP-dedicated UK magazine Go>Play. I’ve never read the magazine before, but it seems like  they feature a homebrew application in their ‘connect’ section of the magazine every month, and this month it was PSPRadio.Go>Play issue 6

The article features an extensive review and a how-to guide for those wanting to install and use PSPRadio – they even have PSPUpdates in the background! The article has much more than what you can see here, including skins, option settings and more.

If you wish to buy it, Issue 6 of Go>Play magazine can be found in UK stores until 29th June, when Issue 7 will be released. Anybody from outside of the UK can order Go>Play magazine through their website.

My point is, it’s nice for homebrew applications to get media attention like this. I know how hard Raf works on PSPRadio, and this magazine coverage is well deserved. Raf isn’t the only one, with many other developers working freely for our enjoyment. Go>Play features a different homebrew application every month, so get coding! Who knows, next month your homebrew game/application could be in the place of PSPRadio next month!

Thanks for the images Albadross!
