Horizons Storytelling Contest

Horizons has just announce a new contest! Time to grab a pen and paper and put those creative gaming minds to good use. They are looking for the best story that is 3000 words or less. Read the details below.

After months of begging and pleading, Baela has finally agreed to have a storytelling contest!

So tell me the story of your character in 3000 words or less! You can tell me about your adventures fighting the Blight or tell the tale of what you did last summer! Tear-jerkers or knee-slappers! No matter what you have a story about, as long as your character is part of your story, it counts!

Important: Please send your story in the text of an e-mail message. Do not send e-mail attachments unless it is an emergency (for example: your email starts cutting off parts of the story). If you must send an attachment, please send a text-only file. No fancy formatting, please, even in the body of the email. Text-only emails and attachments. Italics may be indicated by using underscores around the italicized area _like this_. Please make sure your entire story appears in your email before clicking “send.” Baela will email you to confirm that she received your story by replying to your email and the story will be included in that confirmation email. Please make sure the entire story is there…because that will show you what we received on our end. If you find part of your story missing, try sending a text-only attachment.

Very Important: Please don’t submit your story early and then continue to make corrections and submit your story again… and again…and again. The occasional typo will be overlooked, so don’t get stressed if you find one in your story later, but please spell-check it BEFORE you submit your entry. Everybooty makes typos, especialley under presshure, and Baela understanns dis…but it is rather difficult to enjoy the content of a good story when you’re distracted by things that could have been fixed by using the spell-check that is included in almost every word processing program.

Also Important: Include your character’s name, the shard, and a word count at the end of the story. Don’t forget to name your story!

The prizes are to be decided depending on how fast my inbox fills up and I will post that information soon. This contest will run for a few weeks, so you have time to write your story, but keep an eye here for the submission closing announcement!

Well…what are you waiting for? Start writing!
