Hour of Victory video: Covert Commando gameplay

Because there’s never enough WWII games and videos about them, here’s a gameplay trailer of Hour of Victory – Covert Commando. If you missed the demo last May 30, now is probably a good time to decide whether you missed a lot or not.

The video takes us through a village full of enemies and showcases the different available weapons in the game. Environments are very crisp and detailed, you’d get the feel of being in a war-torn 1940s town. The mainstay weapons are there: Thompsons, Garand rifles, and other armaments we’ve seen the Allies and Axis use before.

Can’t complain about the sweet sound of gunfire in the air, and bombardments from God-knows-where. Seems like the knife and the enemies’ necks work well together, as slashing from the front often results in them choking to death. An active radar is on the lower left corner to inform you about enemies and goals. Weapons on the opposite side, and that makes a simple interface. Like Call of Duty games, the corners of the screen turn red when you’re about to die.
