How to give a 20GB harddrive to your PSP

It’s defiantly not a project for a beginner but over on the furrygoat experience there is a detailed tutorial on giving you PSP a external hard drive. The Hard drive has limited use as it can really only store files for download to your memory stick or Music laden RSS feeds and It’s complicated and but here is a quick rundown of the steps involved.

  1. HDDRe flash the hard drive
  2. Configure Samba for the HD
  3. Enable Samba
  4. Create a Swap File
  5. Install iPkg, a Package installer
  6. Install thttpd webserver
  7. Configure thttpd
  8. enable httpd
  9. Create a RSS feed for your PSP

Confused? The full details on each step is available here from the furrygoat experience. Although it’s of limited use if you got the skill and want the 20GB of music packed RSS feeds then it’s gonna be your best bet (Compared to the Datel 4GB HDD). IF anybody takes on this project we would love to hear from you in the comments, how does it work?

Thanks FreePlay for the tip.
