How to turn a life image into a movie clip

Live Photos in the Camera app of an iPhone or iPad captures approximately two seconds of video. Here’s how you can turn it into a video clip. Sometimes it is useful to capture a short video of something like a child doing a cartwheel. Live Photos can capture these moments and be played back, looped or bounced back and forward. They can also have a “long exposure” effect which blurs the motion. Live Photos are great for capturing moments that involve motion, rather than just a static image. You can edit the Live Photo so that any part of it becomes a still image. Convert a Live Photo to video on an iPhone/iPad Sometimes you may want to use a Live Photo in an iMovie or other video project. The Live Photo must be converted into a standard video format. To do this, open the Live Photo in the Photos application. Tap or click on the Albums section to find them. Scroll down to Media Types and select Live Photos. Select the Live Photo that you want to convert by clicking or tapping on it. Tap on the “three dots menu” in the upper right corner of an iPhone or iPad and select “Save as Video.” The video file created will be available under the Media Types section, “Video”, as well as the “Recents album.” How to save a Live Photo on iPad as a short video clipThe original Live Photo can still be found in the album “Live Photos”. You can now export the video to wherever you want it, such as an email attachment or copied into the Files application for future use. On a Mac the process is slightly different. Live Photos are by default saved in High Efficiency image codec (HEIC), which means you need to hold down the option key while dragging out the Live Photo onto your desktop or another window of the Finder. This creates two separate files: a.mov file and a HEIC still image. The.mov can be imported into iMovie, or other video editors for Mac. If you want to share your file with non Apple users, then you will need to convert the.mov format. You can convert the clip into MP4 by exporting it from iMovie, or you can use third-party tools to convert it to less-used formats. Live Photos are a great way to capture special moments or add context to a photo by adding sound and movement. They are short but can be used to add live moments between still images in a video.
