PSP icon - Image 1Halo XMB icon set creator Sp3ct0r over at DCEmu has a tutorial that deals with the applications and steps needed to transfer 100% complete game saves to your PSP’s Popstation games.

We imagine the guys who don’t want to spend those countless hours unlocking every nook and cranny of their PSP port of Final Fantasy VII (good god – Knights of the Round…) will take a liking to this how-to guide, which lists these requisite apps and files:

  • The Popstation game needing the save
  • cwcheatpops.prx (file)
  • PSXeven (homebrew application)

Going into detail, here is Sp3ct0r’s step-by-step process to using the abovementioned tools:

  1. Launch PSXeven, and go to Memcard
  2. Press Import, and add your Gamesave.gme, close PSXeven.
  3. Find your game id, and launch your game from your PSP. Make sure cwcheatpops.prx is activated.
  4. Hold select until cwcheat comes up, go to “Manage Memory Cards,” then “Load memory card 1 from memory stick”
  5. For Crash Bandicoot 3, It should say “Currently selected memory card file: SCUS_94244-0.mcr Last Operation: Open error”
  6. Take what ever the game id was, and rename the memory card that PSXeven saved.
  7. For “Crash,” it would be: SCUS_94244-0.mcr
  8. Place the memory card in msrootsepluginscwcheatmc
  9. The next time you load memory card 1 from cwcheat, it should say “Last Operation : OK!!”
  10. In the game itself, press “Load” in the title screen, and you will see your 100% complete game save.
