Huge screens for Age of Conan DirectX10, expansion, and future content
Gotta love a media blitz! Today via press release, Funcom‘s let out a whole big batch (and by big, I mean “a huge number of” and “hugely insane resolutions of”) screenshots, screenshots, and more screenshots for Age of Conan. We get to see the expansion teaser art too, as well as comparisons of Age of Conan on DirectX10 vs DirectX9. Plus a sneak peak at the free content that’s coming within the next few months! It’s thumbnail enlargement time!
It’s a press release media spree for Age of Conan fans out there! As announced previously, Funcom has finally revealed the concept art for the upcoming Age of Conan expansion pack, which is scheduled to be released next year.
True enough, it shows “three ninja-like warriors wearing green masks with a strongly oriental look.” And that’s just as it should be since the expansion will introduce the land of Khitai, Robert E. Howard‘s version of China in the world of Hyboria.
We also got some comparison shots today, showing the differences between DirectX9 and DirectX10. The improvements are pretty obvious – you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to conclude how substantially detailed the environment has become.
And finally, another huge batch of screens showing the free content that the Funcom team will be delivering within the next couple of month: new armor, Tarantia Commons, The Ampitheater, Thunder River, Ymir’s Pass. It’s thumbnail enlargement time!
