I WIIsh that were me…
Awww. Some people just have all the luck.
In the October 23 episode of the British gadget show… um, The Gadget Show, one of the show’s hosts, Jason Bradbury, gets gifted with none other than a fully-functional Nintendo Wii. As stated by co-host Suzi Perry, the unit was courtesy of the president of Nintendo UK.
As stated in this video clip of that particular segment of the show, the Wii does not have the power of the 360 or the PS3, but what it lacks, it makes up for in sheer fun factor. From watching the clip, one can’t help but also notice just how fast Jason gets used to the system, and almost immediately manages to get himself into a good game of tennis in Wii Sports. Because of its pick-up-and-play approach to gaming, one can’t help but want to just simply jump into the game and get into all the fun. No more steep learning curves, no more 30 minutes or so spent fiddling with the controls.
Sigh. It’s also making me wish that I had friends or rich relatives who’d surprise me with a Wii when I get home.

Lucky bastards…
