iDOLM@STER surfaces on U.S. XBLM…but why?

One Kotaku reader was able to take a snapshot of video game iDOLM@STER appearing on Xbox Live Marketplace in the U.S. There’s just one pack, containing a total of 13 Gamerpics, for the price of 200 MS Points. It’s just weird because Namco Bandai only released the title in Japan.

Basically, to those not familiar with this game, iDOLM@STER takes players in the shoes of a producer who has to work for one of nine prospective idols. The title is important to Microsoft because Xbox Live sign ups in Japan rose after the game was released. Microsoft, on the other hand, kept providing them with additional downloadable content.

Currently, there are no announcement that the title will be ported to the U.S. So why did that happen? It could be a simple slip up or maybe, just maybe, we will all finally be meeting the beautiful Miki Hoshii of iDOLM@STER fame.

On a last note, the above mentioned package hasn’t been rated yet.
