Ignition signs The Audition band for Obscure: The Aftermath music
When it comes to survival horror video games, it is only fitting that they come with adrenalin pumping rock and alternative music. Such is what Ignition did for the Nintendo Wii and Games for Windows title Obscure: The Aftermath.
Publisher Ignition has signed up the band The Audition to further give life to this title. Know more about the collaboration after the jump!
Ignition Entertainment is sending out word that it has teamed up with the music group The Audition to help give life to the upcoming Nintendo Wii and Games for Windows title Obscure: The Aftermath.
The partnership has allowed Ignition to use several of The Audition’s songs for promotional trailer videos of the game. In turn, the publisher has given the band the license to use game assets and media for their MTV videos.
The collaboration is at its best with the music video “Warm Me Up” which features opening scenes of the game that relates how a group of college friends discover a hallucinating black power capable of transforming humans into monsters.
Ajay Chadha, President of Ignition Entertainment U.S.A., had this to say:
The video game has a unique blend of genuine horror, witty dialogue, and awesome co-op gameplay. ItÂ’s only fitting that this one-of-a-kind game benefits from such a unique, synergetic collaboration between the music and videogame industries.
Obscure: The Aftermath is scheduled to be released for Nintendo Wii and PC this coming March 25. The video of Warm Me Up debuted yesterday.
