Ignition to bring free music to Xbox Live users
MCV UK reports that a new Microsoft service will allow Xbox Live users to get exclusive music on their consoles, free of charge. The service, known as Ignition, will showcase music from different musicians, exposing their talent to a wider audience courtesy of Microsoft’s download initiative.
The first group to have its chance at using Ignition will be the UK band Maximo Park. A track will be made freely available through the Xbox Live Marketplace, though there’s no announcement yet as to what the track will be. For the enjoyment of our readers though, we’ve included a video of Maximo Park’s upcoming “Books from Boxes” single below
Ignition will also be made available through the MSN service and the Zune media player.
