Heads up, Sony PlayStation Portable fans – Irem‘s Ikuze Gensan, the game about hitting people and everything else with big, blunt objects you pick up along the way has been confirmed for release on May 15 in Japan. So if you’re in the vicinity, you won’t have to wait too long before unleashing your righteous wrath on construction equipment, oncoming traffic, and marine life by bludgeoning. Awesome!

Of course, now that the Japanese release date has been confirmed, we all eagerly anticipate the North American release. As of this writing, no North American publisher has agreed to pick up the task of localizing Ikuze Gensan for the masses, but since Irem’s back is covered by Agetec and Atlus, it’s not too far-fetched that one of those firms will handle it.

Ikuze Gensan, a game that’s just about smacking people and things with a giant fish. Truly, we have reached the next generation. Updates as we get them.
