IMC announces THEY, mysterious FPS to be playable at Games Convention
Amidst the FPS craze and gigantic titles battling it out, European PR group Interactive Media Consulting (IMC) announced They – a mystery FPS shooter as shady as it sounds. THEY are huge, THEY are different, THEY are hostile – or so they say.
Not much is known about the game yet, but a demo behind closed doors will happen at Games Convention in Leipzig come August 22-26. THEY promises next-gen graphics with the implementation of a topnotch 3D engine. New gameplay elements will be introduced to the genre, and the revolutionary weapon system is bound to get you hooked.
The key features include:
- next generation 3D engine
- unique weapon system that makes you “love” your weapons
- mysterious science fiction background story
- diversified enemies – thrilling and intelligent
- heroes to identify with
- heavy usage of physics
- destructible environment relevant for gameplay
- haunting single player mode
- versatile multiplayer modes
Doesn’t exactly sound revolutionary, but remember: Nothing is as it seems. THEY is aiming for a 2008/2009 release on the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.
