Punchatz had a huge career as a mainstream artist. But some of the big-name projects he handled would include covers for Time, Newsweek and Rolling Stone, as well as Playboy and the National Geographic magazine. That’s practically all the major magazines you should at least get your hands on at least once in your adult, reading life.
The boxart cover for Doom is one of the more memorable artworks we’ve seen in classic video game history, and it doesn’t hurt that it continues to baffle us why the lone spaceman has his top conveniently torn right on his abs area, to show off his ripped bod — all while fighting off demons from hell.
