Apple has been reported to have tested replacing metal with rigid plastic in the Apple Watch SE case to reduce the cost. Apple may also be planning to update the Apple Watch SE. This could coincide with reports that Apple Watch Ultra and regular models will be updated in late 2024. Apple has released a new Apple Watch SE model every two years since the device’s introduction. Separately the upcoming Apple Watch Series 10 is rumored with thinner cases and slightly bigger screens. Apple will likely announce the Apple Watch SE and possibly also this in September alongside the iPhone 16
