Insomniac: Japan’s DualShock 3 will work with North America’s Ratchet & Clank Future
While Sony hasn’t said anything solid yet regarding the compatibility of Japan‘s DualShock 3controllers with North American game releases, we might be getting hints from the developers themselves. Insomniac Games has reportedly stated during an inquiry that Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (PlayStation 3) will indeed support the new controllers from Japan.
As you guys may recall, Ratchet & Clank was among several titles that Sony had previously announced to carry DualShock 3 support. Ratchet & Clank, along with other upcoming PS3 titles, would carry the support straight out of the box. Previously released games such as Warhawk and MotorStorm are expected to receive the support via a software update. Japan’s DualShock 3 controller is scheduled for a November release, with Ratchet and Clank‘s dripping into North America’s retailers this October 30.
