Interplay: Fallout MMO getting beta in 2012
It’s been a long hard road for Inteplay and their Fallout MMO. Battle after battle on the legal front seems to have done nothing to dull their intention of putting out the game though. Today they announced a target for the game’s beta phase: 2012.
It’s been a long hard road for Inteplay and their Fallout MMO. Battle after battle on the legal front seems to have done nothing to dull their intention of putting out the game though.
Today, the company susprisingly announced that “Project V13” (that’s the name they’re going with for the Fallout MMO) will be ready for the public in 2012. This came along with an announcement that the MMO will be utilizing the same engine that Earthrise uses.
“Masthead’s technology is impressive and perfect for our Project: V13. Its team is passionate to bring our vision and game play to the market,” said Interplay Chairman and CEO Herve Caen. “This MMOG will have many unique features that we will disclose before launch of the public Beta in 2012.”
It’s worth noting that depending on the outcome of their legal battles with Bethesda, Project V13 could still end up as a post-apocalyptic MMO with no actual ties to the Fallout universe.
