Who ya gonna call? Apparently, PlayStaion Universe called Terminal Reality executive producer Brendan Goss. Just a little checkup on how development is coming along for the upcoming Ghostbusters: The Video Game (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS).

The four actors who played the ghost-hunting team, Bill Murray, Dan Ayroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Harold Ramis, have already given their voice talents for their respective characters. You will play a new “Ghostbuster” who was hired by Egon to field-test Egon’s latest and “less-stable” gadgets, but hold on, this game’s got a multiplayer mode!

Despite their experience with games, Goss and his team realize that Ghostbusters: The Video Game won’t just be some ordinary title to the fans. “We knew from day one that there would be a great deal of pressure to do the franchise justice. Our primary goal has always been to deliver a gameplay experience as captivating as the films,” Goss said.

Gameplay-wise, Goss is happy to note that Ray and Egon have been very busy since 1989, so they have a pretty big arsenal of ghost-busting gear. “From the original Proton stream to the new Meson Collider, Slime Tether, Boson Dart and much more, the player gets first crack at all the latest and greatest ‘busting equipment,” Goss said.

Sounds good. Stay Puft is gonna be one big smore when we’re done with him.
