Konami has finally made our dreams come true by turning the Silent Hill 5 (Xbox 360, PS3) rumor into a reality. Fans all over will definitely be jumping up and down with joy with the news that the game’s definitely pushing through.

Patrick Doody was able to give more information on this upcoming survival horror game, with much emphasis on the game’s narrative being the scariest yet and its intriguing new lead, Alex Shepherd.

As for the game having the scariest narrative, Doody mentioned that Silent Hill and a “scary” story were two completely different things. Although the game will not make you jump from its scares, Doody said that, “the eerie feeling of dread will be heightened because the designers can really immerse you emotionally through amazing environments and wild-looking demons.”

Doody also said that, “Silent Hill hasn’t typically been “scary,” as it’s more about the depths of madness and terror it takes the player.” He added that this latest game is probably “the most disturbing drama of the entire series.”

With the lead character, Alex Shepherd, Doody noted that he is a “man of action”. He also mentioned that:

He does take a much more proactive approach to the world around him…so if you believe in the theory that the player is the character, then I think he’s going to feel more relatable to someone who would make rational decisions based on what he sees in front of him.
