iPad is then able to use the Delta 1.6 typical game simulator.

Delta now available on iPhone and iPad
Delta emulator, which allows users to use their own ROMs for retro gaming systems and play them on iPhones, is now available for iPads. The emulator app, developed by Riley Testut, allows users to play classic games on Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advanced and Nintendo 64 as well as DS ROMs. The iPhone version of this app was able to run on an iPad before, but it was limited by the iPhone screen size. The iPad version eliminates this restriction, running full screen either vertically or in a horizontal orientation, depending on what game and system is being emulated. The update to version 1.5 also includes new controller skins designed specifically for the iPad. Delta also supports external game controllers. “The result is a lot like playing classic arcade games back in the old days,” said Testut. The Delta emulator does not track its users and is free. Apple’s App Store relaxed its rules regarding emulators in April. In the weeks that followed, an avalanche of emulator apps appeared in the App Store. The update to Delta emulator brings an optional feature which can automatically pause the game when switching windows. The app now supports the use of multiple windows for Stage Manager and Split View. The app can also “hand off” a game in progress from an iPad to an iPhone or vice versa. Testut says that the game will continue exactly where you left it.
