A new firmware update for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch has been spotted on iTunes. This update fixes some bugs and improves the Safari browser’s stability. Here’s the changelog for firmware 2.2.1 courtesy of iPhone-Hacks:
- Improved general stability of Safari
- Fixed issue where some images saved from Mail do not display correctly in the Camera Roll
The update is compatible with both the iPhone and iPhone 3G as well as the iPod Touch. If you are into the whole jailbreaking and homebrew scene, then don’t update. You run the risk of not being able to jailbreak your device if you do so. The iPhone Dev-Team is already on the job, so if you wanna keep your homebrew, better wait for an update from them.
