Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney’s getting a WiiWare release next year, and now it’s headed for the App Store as well. That’s what Capcom announced today during a talk session held at the Apple Store in Ginza, Japan.

The game’s DS gameplay already lends itself well to the iPhone and iPod Touch’s touchscreen system, but apparently Capcom’s not content with merely making a straight port. According to Famitsu.com’s report, mobile gamers can expect new features to be thrown in, including support for the iPhone’s “flick” input method.

A release date and pricing info were not yet announced, although Capcom says it should launch shortly. It’s not clear whether or not the game will be released in the US as well. Click on the thumbnails below to check out a few screenshots:
