iPod Touch, iPhone game: Castle of Magic

Castle Magic - Image 1When you see a game with castles, quests, and monsters to slay, you usually get the sword-wielding pretty-boy at the helm to save the day. Not this time – Gameloft does away with the same-old sword-slashing gameplay in Castle Magic. Knights will have to take the backseat in this adventure, a fun new wizard will be taking the spotlight and slaying the not-so-evil beasts of this 2D sidescroller.

Knights will have to take the backseat in this adventure, a fun new wizard will be taking the spotlight and slaying the not-so-evil beasts of this 2D sidescroller.

Gameplay would span across five worlds, each with their own multiple levels. It takes about 3 hours and a half to be able finish the entire game straight up, but all the collectibles and additional areas are likely to add more lifespan to this game.

It’s nice and everything, but the US$ 5.99 price tag might hinder would be buyers. But then again, six bucks might be well-spent if you really dig this one.
