Irdeto Sage v2 - Image 1

Irdeto Sage, the homebrew file encryptor and decryptor app for the Sony PlayStation Portable, has been given another update. If you’ve been using version 1, you should think about switching to this one as some of the changes in this version make files encrypted with v1 incompatible with it.

This is mostly caused by an extra step Art added to the encryption process. Irdeto Sage v2 now recognizes files that are already encrypted to prevent encrypting a file twice. Same goes for decrypted files.

Another welcome addition is a general cleanup of the app’s GUI. You can check it out in the screenshot up top. Art didn’t mention any changes to the file size limit, so I guess the 20MB file cap is still in effect for this version.

Art has also included Irdeto Sage’s source code in this release.Check it out if you’re interested in using it in some of your projects. If you have any questions or suggestions, drop Art a line at the QJ.NET PSP Development forum by clicking on the Visit link below.
