The Gunpei Yokoi-made game for the NES platform, Kid Icarus features an angel named Pit who’s trapped in the underworld. He was given a magical bow by Palutena, the Goddess of Light who was imprisoned by her enemy Medusa, the Goddess of Darkness. Pit’s main goal is to save Angel Land and rescue Palutena as he faces the evil minions of Medusa.

A lot of gamers are hoping that there will be a Kid Icarus version for the Nintendo Revolution. Game master Shigeru Miyamoto implied in a past interview that such a version was under consideration. There’s also a rumor that a Rev version of Kid Icarus is to be shown at E3 this coming May. Although this is still speculation, a lot of people are really excited to see what changes have been made to the game. Those who want to see Pit turn into a helpless eggplant again with the help of Medusa’s Eggplant Wizards keep hoping against hope that this rumor becomes real.
